Celtic Confirm Ibrox Fixture Change

CELTIC have today announced TWO fixture changes to facilitate Sky Sports for the coming season. While there may be changes later in the season with fixtures further down the line, it has been confirmed today the first Glasgow Derby will take place a day after it was previously announced.

Instead of the last day of August, the tie at Ibrox will take place on September 1st and it will be a midday kick off.

The game will see only 800 Celtic fans get into Ibrox for the second season running after the Gers board cut Celtic’s allocation.

Celtic didn’t win at the home of their Glasgow rivals last season so they will want to right that wrong come September 1.

By that time the transfer window will almost be closed and Celtic should have the full squad they’re going to have going forward.

It remains to be seen if Neil Lennon will be able to call upon Kieran Tierney for that tie.
