ANGE POSTECOGLOU has delivered a major Celtic transfer update after watching his side draw 2-2 with Blackburn on Saturday afternoon.
The Australian has confirmed Celtic are closing in on not one, but two signings and he expects movement within the next seven days.
It means by the time the bhoys play next against Norwich, we could have a couple of new faces in the door.
Postecoglou stressed the club had to be patient with certain transfers but obviously feels confident enough in how they’re now progressing.
The Celtic gaffer told RecordSport: “We’re definitely going to add a couple of players. We’re working hard on that and would expect to do it in the next seven days. We’ve had to be patient, that was more important than rushing.
“I’m confident we’re close to the end point in bringing in a couple that will help.
“The squad is looking really good but on days like today we want to make sure we don’t lose our effectiveness when a couple are missing.”
Celtic have brought in CCV and Jota on big money permanent deals this summer. They have also signed Alexandro Bernabei and Benjamin Siegrist to long term deals.

Ange knows there is still not sufficient depth to deal with the demands of a 60 game season and wants to make sure he and his team are well equipped for what’s ahead.
“The squad is looking really good but on days like today we want to make sure we don’t lose our effectiveness when a couple are missing.” Ange confessed.
“The reality is that we’ll play close to 60 games this season.
“The Champions League on a weekly basis will add stress to the squad which is why I’m keen to get a couple more in, to make sure we’re strong and robust.
“Last year it affected our ability to perform at a really high level. I’m not saying we’ll have a bigger squad but it’ll be more robust with quality.
It’s exciting times for Celtic fans as they await news on the potential new incomings. T
