Celtic Closing In on Championship Striker – Reports

Celtic is on the brink of securing a loan deal for Norwich City’s forward, Adam Idah according to reports.

According to Recordsport, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to enlist the services of the Republic of Ireland star for the season’s remainder, with a view of a permanent move.

The move comes as Celtic aims to bolster their attack for a strong finish in the title race. Rodgers is particularly focused on increasing competition for Kyogo Furuhashi.

Celtic appear to be edging out numerous English and European clubs to finalise this loan move. Idah, a 20-time Ireland international, has featured 34 times for Norwich in the English Championship. Rising through Norwich’s youth system, Idah is now poised for a shift to Scottish football, driven by his ambition to chase trophies.

Idah has expressed a strong preference for a move to Scotland, making his intentions clear to Norwich manager David Wagner, despite interest from other Championship sides and European clubs, including Hellas Verona.

Let’s be honest, not many Celtic fans will know much about this guy and it hardly hails as the quality Brendan Rodgers has been looking for. It’s got to the point where Celtic have had to go to the bargain basket and hopefully they find something exciting.

As ever, the bhoy will get the backing of the fans when he comes in the door and the hope will be that he can hit the ground running.
