Sky Sports Journalist Anthony Joseph has confirmed Celtic are finally closing in on a deal for Georgios Giakoumakis.
The Venlo striker has been in high demand with the Hoops leading the charge for his signature for some time.
The fee has never appeared to be the issue to acquire the Greek frontman but instead personal terms have been the sticking point.
Joseph comments the deal is edging closer.

It’s understood, if personal terms are finalised, a fee of around £2.5m has been agreed in principle between the clubs.
As we know, until everything is signed sealed and delivered there’s no guarantees of anything.
Celtic have been like a dog with a bone with this transfer and news getting out this afternoon of potential movement in the Edouard transfer saga could further improve the club’s prospects of landing the striker.
A Greek Journo he also confirmed movement.
Celtic and Giakoumakis made significant progress after yesterday's talks for an agreement in personal terms. Some details are about to be discussed next 24-48h. Really close to a deal. Agreement in principle also with Venlo at €3m. @CelticFC #CelticFC #Celtic #Giakoumakis

The window closes on Tuesday after the Glasgow derby this weekend. Celtic have done well to get to this point in decent shape but we do need defensive reinforcements as well as a striker. Liam Scales joining the club does give us another option.
