Celtic chief executive Michael Nicholson made a rare public appearance on Wednesday evening as Celtic took on Legia Warsaw in Poland.

Nicholson made his way onto the pitch pre-match against the Polish side to hand over a Celtic cross as a gift to former Celtic hero Artur Boruc on his final match before retiring.

The Celtic chief executive has been instrumental in delivering some pretty big transfers for Ange Postecoglou as of late.

Michael was even name checked in Mortiz Jenz Instagram post on signing for Celtic this week.

Michael is less prominent and less in the public eye than his former boss Peter Lawwell. That’s why it’s noteworthy when we do get a glimpse of the hoops chief.

The Legia friendly is Celtic’s penultimate game of pre-season. The bhoys are due back in Glasgow to prepare for their final friendly against Norwich on Saturday.

Following that, the bhoys then have a week to prepare for the Aberdeen game when the Champions will unfurl the league flag.
