Both Celtic and Hamilton are to be charged by the SFA under disciplinary rule 204 it has emerged.
Leigh Griffiths was found not to be in breach of any rules when Sam Woods grabbed his foot which was a no brainer for the SFA. However, it appears as if both clubs will now be pulled before the Hampden hierarchy for failing to control their players in the aftermath of the incident.
There was pushing between Leigh and Gogic and players surrounded the referee. There was nothing over the top or notable about the incident but the SFA will cite both for their part according to SunSport.
If either or both clubs are found guilty they will receive a fine of between £2500 to £20,000.
The hearing is set to take place at Hampden on February 20th.
We would find it hard to imagine a hefty fine for this silly incident but then again, you just don’t know with the SFA.
