CELTIC are this morning celebrating ‘25 years of Henrik Larsson’.
The club posted out on social media that it’s been 25 years since the Swede signed on at Celtic Park and changed the course of Celtic history.
When the striker signed, the Hoops were lagging behind their rivals, in one season, alongside Wim Jansen, Henrik helped stop Rangers from beating Celtic’s record of nine titles in a row, a feat that has now been achieved twice by the Hoops.

By the time Henrik left the club seven years later, the bhoys were truly a force one again. They narrowly missed out on winning the UEFA Cup even though the Celtic legend bagged two goals on the night in Seville.
Dubbed the ‘king of kings’ by the Celtic support, Henrik was voted Celtic’s greatest ever foreign star.
242 competitive goals for the club over a seven year span is nothing short of incredible. From THAT chip against Stefan Klos to the incredible header in Seville. The Swedish legend is still the benchmark today for all Hoops strikers who come through the door.
Hail Hail Henrik Larsson.
