Formed Hoops striker, Moussa Dembele looks to be on the move after a ‘total agreement’ was found between Lyon and Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
According to reports in France, from GFFN Dembele has agreed on terms with Madrid and looks set to complete his move, pending a medical in a loan move with an option to buy.
In several reports it has also been suggested that the Scottish Champions will be due 10% of any fee but that has yet to be fully confirmed and is speculation at the moment. We know there’s a sell-on fee but not sure if it’s a percentage of the overall sale or of the profit. The option to buy comes into effect in the summer and when Celtic would be due any cash.
The Frenchman first joined Celtic back in 2016 from English side Fulham. After taking a period to settle into the club, Dembele kicked into gear and was incredible for the club in a spell which lasted over two years before moving back home to France with Lyon.
Dembele has continued his relationship with the club too, with his constant support on social media and even returned to Celtic Park on trophy day of the 2018/19 season.
It just goes to show that although some of our recruitment may not be the best, we have had some incredible players over the years with the likes of Dembele, Van Dijk and Tierney all plying their trade and massive clubs across Europe.
