CALLUM MCGREGOR has opened up on the manager’s mentality heading into the third, and possibly the most important, Glasgow Derby of the season.
As you would expect, the manager is expecting his team to play the brand of football they have been playing all season. So far, it’s been successful for the side, winning one cup already and sitting top of the league with just a few games to go.
After a good performance in the season’s first derby, the Hoops boss will be looking to win at Ibrox on his second attempt.
Callum McGregor has insisted that the manager wants his squad to treat the game like they would treat any game, knowing if they play well, it’s likely they will collect all three points. [SunSport].
“If you can stick to the structure and do what the manager asks, and play with your brain and pass the ball properly, you get positive results.
“That’s the way we will approach it at the weekend. We have to go there, be calm under pressure and play our football.
“Regardless of whether it’s home, away or a European game, he wants us to impose our style and make the other team change for us.
“Early in the season we went there and we put in a decent performance. We didn’t get the result we wanted but that gave us belief we were moving in the right direction.”
The players know their game plan, they will be receiving final instructions from their manager, and it’s now up to them to perform on Sunday.
