ANGE POSTECOGLOU believes Celtic can cope without Kyogo Furuhashi after his side brushed aside Hibernian on Monday nights.
The Japanese striker, formerly of Vissel Kobe, is yet to learn the full extent of his injury.
As cited by The Sun, the Celtic boss remarked;
“Don’t get me wrong, I would much rather that Kyogo was available and playing.
“He has been outstanding, he has been a star and I would much rather have him in the team.
“But the whole idea going into the January window was we needed a stronger squad.”
Postecoglou brought in Daizen Maeda, whom he worked with at Yokohama F. Marinos.
The 24-year-old scored just four minutes into his debut, showing that the squad is no longer overreliant on Celtic’s number eight.
Throughout the first half of the season, Celtic have been unable to rotate the squad as Postecoglou would have hoped. 
Now that he’s had the chance to bring some players to the club, Ange can afford to rest key players without the player taking up their position lacking quality.
