Celtic Can Achieve Season First Against St. Mirren

Celtic take on St. Mirren this evening in the cinch Premiership as they aim to back up a pivotal 2-1 victory over Rangers on Saturday afternoon. Paisley is never an easy place to go, and one imagines things won’t be any different this time around.

Last season, the champions took on the Saints twice away from home. On their first jaunt to Renfrewshire, they lost out by two goals to nil but the second time around, they ran out emphatic 5-1 victors.

A repeat performance would be greatly welcomed this time around and should The Bhoys taste victory this evening, they will make it four wins of the bounce in all competitions. This would be the first time they achieved such a feat in this campaign.

The chance to win four in a row for the first time since April of last year adds an extra incentive to this evening’s match. Winning is all that matters regardless of any external records, but the players and management may well have it on their minds going into their first game of 2024.
