Celtic Boost as Steve Clarke Names His Scotland Side

As a Scotland fan, you might not be happy Callum McGregor is on the bench for Scotland on Saturday evening, but as a Celtic fan, you have to be happy.

The midfielder continues to play a ridiculous number of minutes before club and country and given Celtic’s lack of depth in the centre of midfield, Callum being exposed to more minutes could be detrimental to the Hoops.

The Celtic captain starts on the bench for his country and there are no Celtic players in the starting XI. Now Ryan Christie is a Bournemouth player there are plenty of ex-Celts in the lineup.

Callum McGregor and David Turnbull are the only two celts involved and are both on the bench.

Celtic will be back in action on Saturday against Ross County as they look to put their derby defeat behind them. We come into a large stretch of important games and we hope Ange can call upon a full squad apart from the long term injured.
