Celtic Beat Newcastle and Leeds to Sign Promising Young Striker

Celtic have made a very low key signing for their academy as they look to push on and build over the next four years.

The bhoys have signed highly sought after striker Filip Skorb from Portobello football academy.

The academy announced the deal on Facebook this week as they wished their young player all the best.

In March the Daily Record reported that The Rangers, Newcastle and Leeds were in a fight to sign the striker.

Celtic look to have snuck in and snapped him up.

The bhoys usually bring players to their academy at a much younger age. Filip’s path to Celtic is not the usual route, but he’s impressed so much, the free scoring front man was given a deal.

Celtic fans want to see young players be developed and make it to the first team. Over the years, we’ve seen so many names come and go. Let’s hope Filipino can bring his game to a new level over the coming years.
