CELTIC have taken the decision to ban the Green Brigade from the upcoming away matches.

The Green Brigade’s suspension from attending Celtic’s away matches has intensified the ongoing rift between the fans and the club’s board.
This decision came following recent incidents at away fixtures, most notably with Feyenoord and Motherwell.
Celtic faced a hefty £23,000 fine due to the Green Brigade’s use of pyrotechnics during their Champions League match against Feyenoord in Rotterdam. Additionally, there have been reports of disorderly conduct at Fir Park, which includes allegations of fans “rushing” the turnstiles.
Despite these issues at away games, the Green Brigade will still have access to Celtic’s home ground, Parkhead, for the upcoming match against Atletico Madrid, where a show of solidarity of Palestine is planned.
SunSport say the ticket suspension isn’t related to the controversy surrounding the Green Brigade’s banner display at Parkhead after the Hamas attacks in Israel on October 7.
The club is explicitly linking the ban to unsafe behaviour during recent away matches.
A spokesperson for the club said:
“As the group in question has been informed in writing, this decision to suspend access to away tickets relates to very clear and extremely serious unsafe and unacceptable behaviour at recent away matches, including those against Feyenoord and Motherwell.
“As an example, at Feyenoord, widespread and unsafe use of pyrotechnics resulted in another fine for the club from Uefa.
“Investigations are ongoing in relation to unsafe behaviour at Motherwell, including rushing turnstiles and forcing open fire exits to permit access to individuals without tickets.”
