CELTIC have had extensive talks with Aston Villa over the past three weeks about one of Brendan Rodgers top targets, Scott Sinclair.
The club went as far as putting in a verbal bid for the player of around £1.2million, this was rebuffed by the relegated Villa Park side.
However, Celtic haven’t given up hope and there have been more discussions about the former Man City players future. A bid of around £2.5million with add-ons is reportedly currently under consideration.

The Scottish Champions believe Villa could be ready to do business as new boss Roberto Di Matteo looks to trim the squad and bring in his own players for a promotion push.
While Sinclair hasn’t commented on the interest from Celtic you would think the opportunity to link up with his former Swansea boss who arguably got the best out of the player would be something that would excite the midfielder.
With the lure of Rodgers and potential Champions League football it might not be long before some movement is made.
