Celtic B Team Star Set For International Call Up

Canada are keeping their eye on rising Celtic star Bruno Davidson [Daily Record].

The 18-year old has had an impressive start to the season in the Lowland league having scored three goals and provided four assists in seven appearances for the young Hoops so far this season in the league.

He has also been able to test himself against quality opposition at his level in the UEFA Youth League having played against Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk but Celtic are yet to register any points in the competition.

Davidson has not been called up for Scotland at under-19 level which means that he could potentially look elsewhere.

Stephen McManus who knows the player very well has recently taken the assistant managers role in the Scotland U21 set up. He may be urging his counterparts to take a look at Davidson before it’t too late.

The youngster was born in Singapore but is eligible to play for the Canadian national team through his mother. The Maple Leafs appear to be interested in capping the youngster and have been in contact to bring him into the under-20 set up.

He is certainly a player to keep an eye on as his contract at Celtic is set to be extended in the next few weeks with his deal set to run out next summer.

Also interesting to note that Davidson is connected to CAA Base Ltd which has strong connections to Frank Trimboli who has been a big part of deals at Celtic in recent times.
