Celtic B Side Enter Cup Competition

CELTIC’s Colt side have been drawn at home against Annan Athletic in the first round of the SPFL Trust Cup.

For those of you not aware, the Trust Trophy is the new name for the Challenge cup, or as some may know it as the Petrofac cup in recent years.

The Celtic B side have entered the competition from their lowland League base and will take on Annan with hopes of getting to the next stage.

The game will be played on August 10/11.

Celtic will make history this month when they enter the Lowland league and play their first fixture. The club spent 25k to get into the competition and right now it’s just a one-off season for the two Glasgow clubs.

It gives our youth players a real chance to develop and have meaningful game time.

In recent years, Celtic players have been lost to the system because there’s no real outlet for talented young players to express themselves.
