Celtic Await Major ScotGov Announcement

CELTIC and Scottish football will find out today what exactly the start of this season will look like with regards to the supporters.

The Scottish Government are set to lay out their plans for the coming weeks and months ahead and the First Minister will deliver a statement to parliament this afternoon. You can watch the statement live on Scottish Parliament TV.

IF plans go ahead as scheduled, the country would enter Level 0 on Monday next week opening the door to more fans for the Champions League qualifier AND the West Ham Friendly next weekend. Right now, Celtic have been allowed just 2000 fans for the visit of Preston this Saturday.

There is a chance the timetable gets delayed and it prolongs fans being locked out of the grounds in huge numbers.

If we do go to Level 0 – we could see around 12-15k at the ground.

Once the government are satisfied they would then drop the level system and head towards a more normal way of life which would include full stadiums. Right now, that’s pencilled in for August 9, but as we know, the situation is fluid.

If you can’t watch today’s announcement, we’ve got you covered and will give you an update shortly after the address has been made.
