The club has submitted new proposals to Glasgow City Council aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of its training facilities, focusing on building separate security and groundskeeper buildings at the entrance of the site. [Glasgow Times]

These plans build on previously approved projects by the local authority, which included the construction of an indoor training facility, modular changing rooms, a gym, a reception area, and a medical first aid room.

Additionally, Celtic has put forward another planning application for a second modular facility that will house offices, changing rooms, and a canteen area. This application is currently under review by Glasgow City Council’s planning department.

The enhanced Barrowfield facility is designated primarily for use by Celtic’s B Team and Women’s team. Of course, the Women do currently train at Barrowfield but still use Celtic Park as a base for some of their training and changing rooms.
