The former Celtic striker died aged 79 after a short illness in hospital.
Yogi was part of the team that won Jock Stien his first trophy as Celtic manager in 1965. A few years later, he was part of the squad that won the European Cup; however, he wasn’t able to participate in the final due to an injury.
His stay at Celtic came to an end in 1971, joining Crystal Palace. Once he had retired, he embarked on a managerial career. However, it was short-lived.
It’ll be great to see Celtic Park pay tribute to the legend on Sunday afternoon. The Hoops haven’t played at home since his death, with banners remembering the great unveiled during Celtic’s trip to Ross County.
It’ll be a touching tribute for the family.
