After both friendlies had sold out, along with the league opener against Aberdeen, it’s the fourth match this year to sell out.
It goes without saying that season tickets have also sold out, with many thousands still on the waiting list.
The game against Hearts has been moved to Sunday 21st of August, due to Hearts playing in Europe on the Thursday prior.
The 3 pm kick-off is sandwiched in between the Europa League Qualifier for the Jam Tarts, which could give Celtic a slight advantage heading into the game. Although, Ange will still expect his team to perform to a high level and get the three points.
Celtic Needs to Implement a New System
For games like this, even though they are ‘sold out’, there will still be empty seats, with season ticket holders not turning up to the match. If Celtic had a ticket exchange system, it would allow more fans into the stadium to see the team and leave fewer empty seats. It would also allow Celtic to make a little bit extra cash, and when that opportunity is about, Celtic are normally jumping at it!
