Brendan Rodgers has delivered a hammer blow to the Celtic support this afternoon by confirming Cameron Carter-Vickers AND Maik Nawrocki will miss the Glasgow Derby.
The defender went off injured during the win at Pittodrie two weeks ago and was missing as the bhoys were knocked out of the League Cup by Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The Celtic manager confirmed the American international will be missing for around two months, which means Celtic will also be without their best defender for some of the Champions League games.

It’s a massive blow to Celtic who will have to play with an entirely new centre-back pairing for the foreseeable future.
CCV and Carl Starfelt were a successful pairing over the past two years and never lost a domestic league match together.
Maik Nawrocki hasn’t had time to get his feet under the table before suffering this injury. It means Gustaf Lagerbielke will have to be paired with either Liam Scaled or Tomoki Iwata as it stands.
Celtic surely must be thinking about dipping back into the market for another centre-back who they can get on loan for six months. Rodgers is short of options with Stephen Welsh also out and Kobayashi is still recovering from an injury.
With the Glasgow Derby game coming up, Celtic will not be at their strongest.
