Celtic fans have been eagerly anticipating an update on Celtic target Carl Starfelt after Fabrizio Romano confirmed Celtic were in talks to bring the player to Glasgow.
The player hadn’t been seen in training in a few days which suggested a move could have been imminent, however, Rubin Kazan took on Khimki.

Celtic are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements but nothing appears to be on the immediate horizon.
The club have had all summer to talk to targets but we’re going into a vital Champions League qualifier with very few changes in place.
The stalling over the manager became a big issue and meant things have stalled until now.
Ange Postecoglou has the unenviable task of trying to meet expectations with a team that has not changed much since last season. It’s time the club got serious about identifying targets and getting them in.
