Former Celtic Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year David Turnbull could be set to depart the club this January. English Championship side Cardiff City are interested in his services and have made initial contact with the Hoops over a move.
Turnbull’s contract in Glasgow expires this summer, meaning the Welsh outfit wouldn’t have to shell out an overly significant fee. This will be beneficial to them, particularly in their pursuit of Nat Phillips.

Around the same time news of Turnbull’s potential exit broke, it was revealed that the ex-Celtic centre-half is also on the move and that Cardiff has signed him on loan for the rest of the season (Lewis Steele on X). He was in Wales today to complete the move.
If Turnbull’s switch to the Welsh capital does come off, it would mean he and his teammate from the first half of the season at Celtic would reunite. It is fair to say few would have expected such a transpiration at the beginning of the current campaign.
