Ange Postecoglou was quizzed about his defensive situation after the Hoops beat Hearts 3-2 in the League Cup.
The Hoops were so impressive going forward but their defending allowed the Jambo’s to pick up a more flattering scoreline in the end.
The Bhoys could have won by three or four clear goals if they took their chances. Being on the front foot is how Ange wants to be but during the times Celtic are having to defend, we have to be doing much better than we are right now.

The Australian was asked about Christopher Jullien and how quickly he might come back to help solve his defensive issues.
Ange wouldn’t give a timeframe and did make sure the Celtic fans and the board knew Jullien’s return was not on the horizon.
Quoted by Record Sport, the Celtic manager said: “He’s working hard. He’s still very much on an individual programme.”
“We have to be careful with these long-term injuries. We want to get him back as best we can and for him to feel really comfortable.
“He’s still got a bit of rehab to do so it’ll be a little while before we see him, but we can’t wait to get him back.”
Chris has been out since the final game of 2020 when his knee collided with the post. The defender had been in France for the first half of the year rehabbing and has been back in Glasgow since pre-season. The centre-back is continuing his progress and will hope to be back in the heart of defence in October/November time.
