Can’t Be Ignored: Best Celtic Player on the Park, Stats Prove

Diego Laxalt Was the stand out player for Celtic on Thursday night. The left back was playing with a chip on his shoulder and it showed as he chased down everything, forced the game and helped Celtic get up the field, especially in the second half.

For a guy who hasn’t had much game time, it was a good performance from the Uruguayan.

While it was easy to come to that conclusion by just watching the game; the stats back it up.

Laxalt Stats:

– 6 dribbles (Milan only competed 9 as a team)

– 6 tackles (game high)

– 4 interceptions (only bettered by Dalot at fullback)

– 85% pass acc (+1KP)

Stats given by Football Daily’s CP Hamill on social media.

Laxalt did have inside knowledge of the players he was up against which could have worked in his favour. He also could have been going above and beyond to show why he should be in this Milan side.

If the left back can keep up the intensity and play like he did on Thursday going forward, we have a player on our hands.
