Callum McGregor’s Hilarious Reaction to Arne Engels’ Latest MOTM at Celtic Park

Callum McGregor hilariously reacted to yet another Man of the Match award for Arne Engels, tonight against Dundee United at Celtic Park.

Engels, who was also awarded Man of the Match against Motherwell and St. Johnstone at Celtic Park over the last month, has certainly found his form at Paradise, with tonight being no different.

He said: (Celtic TV), “I’m trying my best. The most important thing is the three points, we are moving so quickly and the games are coming so quickly that it is really just important to keep what you need to do. I am happy to help the team with that.”

McGregor was full of praise for Celtic’s record signing before poking fun at his run of Man of the Match awards. He said: “This guy has been fantastic since he walked through the door. A big price tag and a big expectation, but he has handled it so well.

“He is a down to earth kid as well. He just keeps getting stronger and stronger. He is a team player and you need that to be a Celtic player. I am really happy for him. He is making great strides and a top player.”

“I think it’s his dad that is picking him.”

Great to see such humour from McGregor towards Engels already, with the pair forming an impressive partnership at the heart of midfield.

Engels is really starting to show signs of why he is Celtic’s club record signing.

It will certainly take him a number of years to truly repay the club, but he has gotten off to the perfect start with the Premier Sports Cup to his name already.

The Belgian looks determined to not only win Man of the Match every game but also to win every game he plays, dominating the midfield alongside McGregor.
