Celtic’s European campaign for the 2023/24 season came to an end on Wednesday. The Hoops went out with a bang, securing a 2-1 win over Dutch champions Feyenoord.
After the game, captain Callum McGregor revealed what’s next for the Hoops in terms of next season in Europe. He said (Glasgow Times): “But if we want to be in it and feel competitive in the games which we have been, it’s then just that next bit about adding experience and quality and then you’re home games before so important for you.”

Over the next two transfer windows, manager Brendan Rodgers will undoubtedly want to strengthen his squad. It is clear that McGregor recognises this, too.
As well as dipping into the market, Celtic succeeding in their home games is something they must focus on. This season, the Hoops secured four out of a possible nine home points, which is not the most impressive.
If this, along with the squad, improves going into next season’s European adventure, then there could be prosperity ahead for the Scottish champions.
