‘Huge Moment’ – Callum McGregor Sends Cup Final Message

CALLUM MCGREGOR will captain Celtic for the first time on Sunday when his side will face Hibernian at the National Stadium. Growing up a Celtic fan captaining Celtic will be what he dreamed of, hopefully, he can lift the trophy at full time to make it a day to remember.

Speaking to Celticfc.tv about the honour he said;

“It would be a huge moment, but we’re not even thinking about that yet, all we’re doing is trying to prepare for the game, like I said, stay calm and approach the game in the same manner that we have done throughout the season.

“We’re always just trying to get better as a squad, so if that comes on Sunday then it will be a huge moment, but for the time being I’m fully focused on doing my job and preparing for the game.”

Winning the cup will carve Callum’s name in the history books where he will be in the company of some of the legends of the club.

He is no stranger to the occasion, winning the cup four times. He has won thirteen cups at Hampden, at both youth and senior level. He was an unused substitute in Ronny Deila’s League Cup winning squad.  His experience could be key on Sunday to give a helping hand to those who have not experienced such an occasion before.
