Celtic captain Callum McGregor has outlined the importance of his team’s remaining league games this season, hailing them as cup finals.
The skipper returned to the team in this afternoon’s Glasgow derby after a five-and-a-half-week absence, coming on for the last 25 minutes of the thrilling 3-3 draw.
A bust-up with Todd Cantwell didn’t faze McGregor, who remained tight-lipped on the debacle post-match.
The 30-year-old, though, openly spoke about the remainder of the season, stating how critical every single game is.

He said: [Sky Sports] “The run-in for both teams is now super important.
“Every game becomes massively important. You have to win every game you can. Obviously, we’ve got one more [derby] to go at Celtic Park so we need to try and maximise that as well.
“Like I said, every game sort of becomes like a cup final now.”
After today’s result, Celtic’s title destiny remains well within their hands which can be viewed as a considerable positive. The Hoops just need to win six out of their next six league games and they will become champions of Scotland for the third time in a row.
Although such an ask is tough, with a fully fit squad, there is no reason to say they can’t succeed.
They played some encouraging stuff this afternoon but in the end, couldn’t hold on to secure what could have been a monumental result.
