Celtic captain Callum McGregor hopes to welcome more new faces to Parkhead before the season kicks off.
With Bernabei and Siegrist joining the Hoops and Jota and Carter-Vickers arriving permanently after their loan spells, the captain will welcome the players to Glasgow.
Monday was McGregor’s first day back at Lennoxtown after he was granted extra time off, with many others, due to earlier international commitments.
The team flies out to Austria to prepare for the upcoming season with some new faces, but the captain is hoping for more. As quoted by the Scottish Daily Express, CalMac said;
“It’s a huge club and the boys are buzzing to be a part of it. The club have done their business early and hopefully we can add one or two more faces as well which would be great. This season we have to go again and reach another level. That’s the challenge for the players and I’m sure the manager will be setting that challenge.”
Celtic’s Early Business is Great
Tying Jota and Carter-Vickers down on a permanent contract was great business from the club that has delighted fans.
But improvements haven’t stopped there. Postecoglou has identified two further areas that needed improvement, signing a left-back to presumably take over the starting role and a goalie to challenge Joe Hart between the Celtic sticks.
Postecoglou is keen to continue his improvements to the Celtic squad as the Hoops gear up for Champions League football.
