Going Nowhere; In Demand Celtic Star Committed to Hoops

It is being reported that Celtic youngster Rocco Vata is attracting interest from Bundesliga sides Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

The 17-year-old became the ninth youngest player to make his competitive debut for the green and white hoops during the week as he came off the bench in Celtic’s 4-0 victory at Easter Road.

He had been pushing closer and closer to the first team after training with the first team and participating in pre-season as well as the trip to Sydney with the eventual breakthrough coming in the past couple of days.

In previous years, defender Liam Morrison made the switch from Glasgow to Munich and is currently part of Bayern’s second team but many will hope that Vata doesn’t follow in his footsteps.

Sources have told CeltsAreHere Rocco is committed to Celtic and determined to become a first team regular with the club.

He is contracted to the club until 2025 and will look to force his way into the first team as he is focused on achieving that goal.

There has been so much talk about ‘pathways’ and ‘opportunities’ but that doesn’t appear to be something Vata is worried about as he continues to further his development.

He will be hoping that his appearance off the bench against Hibs will mean that he features more regularly for the first team going forward.
