Fans were hoping BT would stick around and continue their unrivalled production of our game with Sky Sports treating Scottish football as an afterthought in many fans eyes.

But money talks and Sky Sports pockets are deeper. Although the figures talked about are more than the SPFL have ever gotten, it’s still believed these figures pale in comparison to even the Swedish League.

We will hopefully find out the intricacies of the deal over the coming months.

For now, enjoy what BT has to offer because we’ll soon have to listen to Kris Boyd and Kris Commons every time there’s a game on the TV.

Groan.
