Brendan Rodgers will be furious after yet another Celtic team leak before Sunday’s Glasgow Derby.

Just under three hours before kick-off on Sunday, rumours began spreading that Callum McGregor and Auston Trusty would be missing from the squad. These whispers quickly turned out to be true, giving Rangers a potential tactical advantage heading into the game.
This is not the first time it has happened, and Rodgers has already made his frustrations clear.
Back in November, when the same issue arose, Rodgers hit out strongly at the insider leaking his starting XIs.
At the time, he said: “It might feel great for someone’s ego to put it out and pass it on to other people, but I can tell you as a manager that I’ve had that before with other teams. When I’ve gotten to know about it, it has really, really helped me in my preparation, because I’ve come up against a plan to play against the team.”
“So, whoever is putting it out, if it’s someone from Celtic, you’re not a Celtic supporter, because you’re not helping Celtic. It’s as simple as that. If you’re not a Celtic supporter, we will do everything to find out.”
Four months later, the same problem has happened again, and Rodgers will be demanding answers.
At any level of football, having advance knowledge of your opponent’s line-up allows for last-minute tactical adjustments.
For Rangers, knowing McGregor and Trusty were missing gave them extra time to adjust their game plan.
It isn’t on, and whoever is responsible is only hurting Celtic.
If Rodgers was already keen to find out the source of the leaks in December, expect even greater urgency now.
Anyone with privileged information should keep it to themselves—because leaking the team before a derby only benefits the opposition.
CeltsAreHere, like many others, were aware of the rumour but chose not to share it anywhere.
