Celtic kick off their Scottish Premiership title defence next Saturday against Ross County at 12.30pm. Nothing but three points will be acceptable for Brendan Rodgers and his men as they return to competitive action for the new season.
There are a number of new faces at the club going into the upcoming campaign and manager Rodgers is looking to add more in due course. He said (Daily Record):”I think it was important we brought some players in early on to settle them and allow them to adapt. I didn’t want to wait for people to go before bringing people in. But we’d hope we can add some more before the window shuts. Probably after [the Ross County game], there’s still a long way to go in the window.”

It seems Celtic fans will have to remain patient in the coming weeks to see more players come through the door. Under Ange Postecoglou, business was carried out rather promptly and although some of it has been this summer, there are still a few more positions in the squad that need upgraded.
Goalkeeper springs to mind immediately along with a few others. Rodgers will have several targets in mind and clearly doesn’t want to rush into things. It is a case of waiting patiently for supporters, as hard as that may be.
