The size of Celtic’s squad at the minute is colossal. Although it is littered with various talents, it is undoubtedly too big.
Manager Brendan Rodgers thinks this, too. There will certainly be exits in the next transfer window, but the Irish gaffer also wants incomings of quality.
Indeed Rodgers thinks his past experience of getting deals done in January can aid him. He said (Football Scotland): “I’ve done business in January before that has been really, really good. It is just the availability, really. There is a market out there to bring in good players but it’s just getting the right ones.”

It is hoped by supporters that the double-treble-winning boss and his recruitment team can make the correct decisions and bring in some additions of note over the winter break.
Rodgers is looking for men who can make a difference because, at the minute, the squad consists of many who are young and not at the level required as of yet. He said: “But you certainly need ones who can come in, so it is genuine quality we hope we can bring in across the coming windows.”
Between now and January, it is certain the recruitment team will be working behind the scenes to identify players who could be of use to Rodgers and Co. The market is vast, and there are plenty of assets out there in a range of positions that could be of utility to the Celts.
