Brendan Rodgers has delivered a mostly positive squad update ahead of Celtic’s match against Aberdeen this weekend.

Despite some concerns over key players, the manager confirmed that, aside from Greg Taylor, his squad is largely fit and ready for the top-of-the-table encounter.
Alistair Johnston and James Forrest are presumably okay. The Canadian had some injury concerns leading into the international break and Jamesy withdrew from the Scotland squad through injury.
Speaking to the media, Rodgers said: [Celtic TV]
“All the guys have come back from the international break fit. Cam [Cameron Carter-Vickers] has trained for the last few days, so we’ll just wait on the reaction after today to see if he’s going to be available for tomorrow.”
Carter-Vickers’ return to training is a significant boost, though his availability will depend on how he reacts following recent sessions. Meanwhile, left-back Greg Taylor is still recovering from injury and won’t return to training until after Celtic’s upcoming match against Atalanta.
“Greg Taylor is doing well, but he won’t come back into training until after the Atalanta game,” Rodgers added.
With Taylor out, Alex Valle is expected to fill in again at left-back as Celtic aim to continue their unbeaten run against an in-form Aberdeen side.
It’ll be no easy match for Celtic. Aberdeen are yet to taste defeat under their new boss, winning all thirteen games under since his arrival.
The Dons will likely come to Celtic Park to attack the game and try to take something back up to the northeast with them.
It’ll be a unique challenge for the Hoops, but it’s refreshing and good to see a different side try to challenge Celtic’s dominance.
