Brendan Rodgers Set to Cut Off Ange Postecoglou With First Big Celtic Decision

BRENDAN RODGERS has made it clear he sees John Kennedy as a big part of his plans as he gets set to return to Celtic.

The Irishman has been thrashing out the terms of his deal for the past few days and has been assembling his backroom team.

There has been a big question mark over John Kennedy’s status at the club since Ange Postecoglou left for Spurs.

It’s been widely reported the Australian wants John to join him in London and the same reports claim Kennedy is very open to heading south.

However, everything has changed in the past 72 hours. The return of Brendan Rodgers barring any last minute hitches will see the Irishman pick up where he left off in 2019.

John Kennedy was part of Brendan’s coaching team and tried to lure the Celtic coach to Leicester four years ago.

MailSport report this evening that Brendan Rodgers does NOT want John Kennedy to leave for Spurs and sees him as a vital part of his backroom team.

John knows the lay of the land with the current crop of Celtic talent and has intimate knowledge of Ange’s side. To have him on board will be a great help to Rodgers bedding in at Lennoxtown once again.

Ange Postecoglou may face disappointment in his pursuit.
