Brendan Rodgers Sends Clear Message Over Celtic Future After Title Win

Brendan Rodgers has addressed his future at Celtic following this afternoon’s title-clinching win over Dundee United at Tannadice.

With four league games still remaining, the Hoops wrapped up the Premiership in style with a 5-0 win, and naturally, talk turned to what lies ahead for the Irishman once his current deal expires at the end of next season.

When asked if he had considered what might happen beyond next year, Rodgers was quick to dismiss speculation.

He said: (Sky Sports), “I think everyone else has. Listen, what I would say and I’ve read lots of stuff, what I’m supposed to be doing, where I’m supposed to be going.

“What I could say without any avoidance of doubt, I will be here next year. 200 percent. I said 150 the other way, 200 percent I’ll be here but there’s also no one knows me, far very very few and there’s even less understand me.

“So when I see all the reports of where he’s gone, all the people who know me, where I’m supposed to be going, I’m not happy.”

Rodgers made it crystal clear he has no intention of walking away. In fact, he went on to highlight just how content he is at Celtic

He said: “I’ve never been happier here. I’ve had the most amazing season with the support of the club, the players, how we’ve performed. The Champions League was a big thing for me and I’ve seen us grow on that. So can we now finish this season strong, regroup again in the summer and then be even stronger next season.”

It’s exactly the sort of message the fans wanted to hear after a season where Celtic overcame domestic challenges in recent months and made progress in Europe by reaching the Champions League knockouts.

Rodgers’ comments provide reassurance at a time when rumours about his future have been spreading, mostly based on media speculation rather than anything from him directly.

With a summer rebuild coming and another chance in Europe next season, having Rodgers stay is a big boost. For now, though, the focus is on celebrating another league title — won through hard work, determination, and teamwork. The future looks bright with Rodgers in charge, and he’s made it clear he’s staying.
