It’s been a quiet start to the summer transfer window for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers, with no new faces at Lennoxtown.

Despite the departure of notable players like Sead Haksabanovic and Rocco Vata, the club has yet to announce any new signings, causing some unease among fans eager for squad reinforcements.
Manager Brendan Rodgers appears unfazed by the slow pace, emphasising the importance of quality over speed in the transfer market. Rodgers has expressed confidence that the right players are being targeted to fill critical roles left vacant by departures, including a new goalkeeper to replace Joe Hart, enhancements in the defence, and additional firepower up front.
Rodgers has reassured supporters that new faces could join the squad before Celtic heads to America for their pre-season tour. He said to the Scotsman: “That’s the plan.
“I think every manager would like them in on the first day but what’s most important is the players we want are targeted. We know what we want to bring in to improve the squad and I’m sure over the coming weeks we’ll conclude the deals and get us stronger for next season.”
It’s interesting that he’s used the word ‘conclude’, to me, this indicated that there are deals being worked on behind the scenes and negotiations are going well. One of these could be Adam Idah, with Scott Burns of the Daily Record confident that Brendan Rodgers will get this deal done.
