Celtic fell short against Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon, losing out by two goals to one at Rugby Park. It was a concerning defeat for all involved with the club.
Post-match, manager Brendan Rodgers revealed that he spoke with his players and that they know things aren’t good enough. He said: (Clyde 1 Superscoreboard): “The players know themselves. We spoke after the game. It’s not what we wanted to do. Second-half we played their game instead of playing ours.”

In the future, the Hoops need to show more desire and simply not sit back. After they went 2-1 down, the Hoops rarely had any chances.
The performance itself was a concern, but some of the takeaways from it are even more worrying. Rodgers has a lot to think about after today’s defeat, but it was a combination of culminating factors including poor recruitment, bad managerial decisions, and a lack of fight from those on the park.
