Brendan Rodgers has revealed his half-time team talk that sent his Celtic players out firing in the second half on all cylinders against Slovan Bratislava.
With the score at 1-0 at half-time, Celtic were unfortunate not to be further ahead, having dominated much of the first half.
Speaking post-match, Rodgers revealed how he motivated his players during the break, sending them out for the second half with a point to prove.
Rodgers said:(TNT Sports),”We were just a fraction slower on the ball than we’d have liked with three touches instead of two. The tempo was very good and still we were strong in the first-half. Then we just reiterated a couple of things at half-time and in the second-half? Wow.
“The hunger, pressing, counter-pressing, mentality of the team, I was so proud. And the quality of the goal was sensational. You can see the young players at the level and the whole build up around Champions League and what that brings. They try and be a little bit safe, wee touch, pass. I just reiterated we don’t have to do anything special, be us.
“Play our game, don’t complicate the game. Just a couple things around positioning. Re-enforcing the good pressing elements.”

Rodgers is simply a class above, with his instructions clearly the difference-maker.
He not only motivated his players but also delivered detailed tactical messages that transformed the game.
The Irishman’s world-class managerial abilities were key in taking the Hoops from being in the lead to absolutely thrilling the Parkhead crowd with a dominant performance.
After a stop-start beginning to last season, Rodgers took his time to assess and rebuild.
Now, he has simply taken this Celtic team to a new level, showcasing their potential on the European stage and demonstrating his tactical brilliance.
