Head of Academy Sports Science Oliver Morgan has left Celtic for Leicester City this week where he’ll link up with former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers.
Oliver has been with the club since 2019 and has been heading up sport science among the young Hoops players. It’s another staff member from the sports science department being poached. Our head of first team sports science was taken by RB Leipzig in the summer.
Celtic replaced Jack Nayler with Anton McElhone who is still relatively new to the role.
The Hoops will be on the look out for a replacement for Oliver who is now heading down south.
Ange Postecoglou puts a lot of emphasis on that particular department and knows the importance of having the right people to help develop and manage the players.
The B team are currently playing their football in the Lowland league; there are some promising players in the side and it’s up to Celtic to make sure their development doesn’t skip a beat with this latest exit.
