Brendan Rodgers provided an update on Celtic centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers’ condition on Thursday. The Irishman revealed he will be re-joining first-team training soon.
Carter-Vickers has been out since the beginning of the season but might be returning over the course of the coming weeks. Rodgers said (Glasgow Times): “Well we’ve got Cam who’s coming back in to re-join the training group, but he’s not going to be ready until after the international break I would suspect.”
Before the next international break, the Hoops have three games to go. The champions are due to face Motherwell, Lazio, and Kilmarnock before yet another stop in action commences.

When club football returns at the end of next month, however, the imposing defender should be ready to go. His presence will be a sizeable boost for the Bhoys going into matches against Hearts, Atletico Madrid, and Hibernian.
What is another positive for the Celts at the minute is the fact there are no fresh injury worries. On the other hand, though, other than Carter-Vickers and Nat Phillips, no one who is out injured will be back soon.
Indeed gaffer Rodgers confirmed this on Thursday. He said: “No-one else (other than Phillips) who has been out injured will be back.”
Currently on the injury list for Celtic are the likes of Maik Nawrocki, Liel Abada, Stephen Welsh, and Marco Tilio. The situation is not ideal, although there is sufficient strength in the squad to cover the gaps.
