Celtic ran out deserved 4-1 victors at Tynecastle on Sunday afternoon thanks to strikes from Matt O’Riley, Daizen Maeda, Kyogo, and Tomoki Iwata. It was a deserved victory for the Hoops, although Brendan Rodgers thinks his team could’ve bagged more.
After the match, the Irishman spoke to Sky Sports. He said: “A lot of our game was excellent, scored some outstanding goals. Disappointing one, we didn’t score more, and two, that the goal we gave away was a shame.”

Although it was one of the Hoops’ best performances of the campaign to date, it shows the high levels of Rodgers that he demands more from his team. Nevertheless, he believes his men are hitting the level he wants them to: “The players are finding the level. They understand a lot more what we want. The tempo of the game was very good, some of the quality was very good.”
Going forward midweek, the 50-year-old will hope his side can keep up with the current level of ‘quality’ and ensure they get a result against Atletico Madrid. It will be an arduous task, but if the bhoys are at the top of their game, anything is possible.
