Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers compared his team to a Rolls Royce after yet another routine Scottish Premiership victory yesterday evening.
Dundee United were in town, and the Hoops came away deserved 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Japanese duo Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate.

The triumph sent the Bhoys 16 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, piling the pressure on Rangers ahead of their trip to Dundee this evening.
For Celtic, the games keep coming thick and fast: they have nine alone in January.
Usually, as of now, they’d have a winter break to recharge their batteries ahead of the second half of the season, although that isn’t the case.
Indeed, they have to keep pushing on, and amid their hectic schedule, manager Rodgers admitted his team wont be at full throttle every week, almost like a car: “A Rolls Royce doesn’t run at 150mph all the time,” he said (5 Live Sport via X).
“The periods we needed to be intense, we were intense.”
Next up for the Hoops is a trip to face Ross County this Saturday at lunchtime.
Given the current sub-zero conditions across Scotland, the trip will be even more arduous than usual.
The last time the champions were in Dingwall, it took a late Nicolas Kuhn strike to secure all three points. Rodgers will hope for a less nervy affair this time around as his side ticks another game off their lengthy fixture list.
