BRENDAN RODGERS has confirmed he is ready to make some changes to the team who were humbled by Valencia on Thursday. The Celtic boss made the claim as he takes his side to Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon in a game which has now taken on greater significance with results on Saturday.
Celtic could stretch their lead at the top to EIGHT points this afternoon if they manage to negotiate theirs way past Stevie Clarke’s side which won’t be easy.
Speaking about his squad, Rodgers is clear there will have to be changes in order to avoid a Euro hangover.
The beauty of this group is that we have always tried to be honest in reflections on the game knowing there’s another game soon,” the Celtic manager explained to SunSport.
“We didn’t show our true face, but that’s how it goes. We now have to get ready for Sunday. We’ll look at how everyone is but we’ll make a few changes just to re-energise the team.”
Timo Weah could find himself in the starting XI and Odsonne Edouard perhaps. One change that looks certain is Ajer coming in for Jozo because the Croatian has historically not been played on Killie’s plastic pitch.
Scott Bain will remain in goals but Johnny Hayes could come in at left back for Celtic after a decent outing last week against St Johnstone.
