BRENDAN Rodgers firmly believes that Celtic is poised to emulate West Ham and seize a European trophy.

In his second stint as Celtic’s manager, Rodgers feels he has some unresolved matters in Europe that date back to his initial tenure at Parkhead.
Rodgers, aged 50, is aiming high this season, particularly targeting a strong performance in the Champions League group stages and looking to play some European football after Christmas.
“You only need to see what West Ham achieved this season.
“You always need to have that level of ambition. We have set that ambition.
“Coming back here, I think there’s a great level of expectation on myself, purely because of what I achieved before and obviously how I left.
“I can deal with that, there’s no problem. That’s what I thrive on.”
In taking inspiration from West Ham’s recent feats under Davie Moyes, Rodgers is setting the bar high for Celtic.
The Celtic-linked manager did a great job with the Hammers, and delivered what was a fairytale just a few years ago.
Rodgers’ ambition to transform Celtic into a force in European football is a testament to his confidence in the squad and his hunger for success. The season ahead promises to be an exciting journey for Celtic under Rodgers’ stewardship, and fans are itching to see what can be achieved under Rodgers.
