BRENDAN RODGERS is regularly linked with a move away from Celtic.
Ever since he came north of the border, there have been reports it was only going to be a matter of time before the Irishman left Scotland to head back to the Premier League.
Some pundits even tipped Rodgers to have left by now, even though he continually puts out how happy he is in his ‘dream job’.
Today it’s Leicester’s turns to be linked with our manager, and this is a new one because Leicester still has a manager at present. Reports of unrest down south between Claude Puel and the board suggest their could be a parting of the ways in the near future.
The media have then looked around at Leicester’s options and thought Rodgers name was the one which fit most. Upon hearing these reports, gamblers put money down on the Celtic manager leaving for Leicester by the summer and the odds shorten – giving the media another reason to print the story.
The article has come from MailSport, and they genuinely do get things more right than wrong, but even the article which points to Rodgers heading to Leicester is predicated on a ‘furry of bets’
Mail Sports write: “But a flurry of bets in recent days have seen Rodgers emerge as the bookies frontrunner to replace him.”
Maybe, just maybe this is nonsense.
