Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has provided a coy update on the future of winger Mikey Johnston.

The Ireland international enjoyed a productive loan spell at West Brom in the second half of last season, scoring seven goals and assisting two in 20 appearances.
Johnston then returned to Glasgow over the summer and played in pre-season, scoring in matches against DC United and Chelsea.
Rodgers initially brought him through the academy ranks to give him his senior debut and wasn’t afraid to throw the 25-year-old in on occasions last term.
He was given an opportunity at Easter Road a fortnight ago but had to come off with a bad facial injury.
Johnston resultantly wasn’t involved last Sunday, with heightened speculation about his future emerging during the week.
English Championship sides Burnley and Sheffield United have been touted as potential destinations for the lively attacker, but Rodgers moved to clear up speculation over his future on Friday.
“We’ll just see what happens”, he said (Celtic FC on YouTube).
“He showed a real robustness, he trained right the way through and had some real nice impacts for us in our games.
“He wanted to go out and play more, he did that at West Brom and done really, really well. Clearly, that will bring some attention to him.
“But we’ll see how the next week goes and take it from there.”
